We’ve all got a pair of jeans that we used to love sitting in the closet waiting to be thrown out. It sucks to have to throw them away, especially if you’ve paid a hefty price for them. Instead of tossing them out, I have two really cool ways to refashion those jeans! A really simple embroidery design, and adding a little bedazzle to your denim can quickly spice up your old boring jeans, Lets get started!
For the first project you will need:
- A pair of jeans
- Hot glue gun (You can also use fabric glue, Gemtac. or E6000)
- Self adhesive pearls
Place the pearls on your jeans to figure out the pattern that you like before you glue them onto the jeans.
Place the glue on the jeans.
Use your tweezer to place the pearls on the jeans. Remember to place them quickly before the glue dries!
And you’re finished!
* I decided to only do a few rows of pearls on my jeans, but you can do more if you’d like to.
*For care of these jeans, I recommend turning them inside out, placing them in a laundry mesh bag, and on a gentle cycle when you wash them.
For the next DIY you will need:
- A pair of jeans
- Embroidery thread (any color of choice)
- Embroidery needle
Split the embroidery thread in half, then place the thread into the embroidery needle.
Create a triple knot at the other end of the loose thread.
Place the needle into the jean pocket and pull it through.
After you have pulled the needle through the knot should be behind the jean pocket.
Place the needle around the jean jean pocket and pull the thread out of the other side and continue to do this until the design is complete.
You are finished!
*I chose to only embroider half of my jean pocket, but you could embroider the entire pocket if you would like to!
